Turbo! Looks pretty nice, and judging by the Enkeis, pretty Jalop.

I’m pretty sure any MR sportscar is jalop regardless of the wheels it sits on.

Nice little cars, anyway. I’ve been looking at them lately because they’re cheap as chips round here and can only go up in value.

Oh sure; I just mean, it’s /extra super/ Jalop, where someone along the way has appreciated what the car is, not just someone who wanted a small inexpensive sporty-looking Toyota.

I’m not sure I associate people putting silly wheels on a car with them ‘appreciating what it is’. Normally it indicates the exact opposite: they’re only driving it for the image, and have no idea about the performance. If we’re going with stereotypes, the owner of the one pictured probably looks in the frunk when the engine won’t start.

That color is fairly rare, and SW20's on RPF01's look amazing! I think that’s a 91-92 turbo.

So, one of the lightest wheels you can buy for decently cheap is now “silly wheels”? That guy might just autocross it and want to drop unsprung weight (And move to a much better handling size tire). RPF01's are extremely popular in the MR2 community for that reason.

Aftermarket alloys that are too big for the car are always silly.

And yes, the owner might be an idiot mistakenly thinking that’s a performance improvement, but the chances are about 99% that the wheels are there for looks.
